Sunday we went out on a rockfish charter w/ " Hatrick" out of Solomons , Md. I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things. Small fish were plentyful, but the Capt said water wasnt cold enough for the big fish migration yet .
Water was 60'F , vis was 1 , I repeat 1 foot. The Bay seems to be in the worst shape I have ever seen it since I began boating and diving here in 1971. No more osyter dives for me in this murk..
Here's biggest fish of the day, 40lbs and a hair, caught by Donnie who bug dives w/ us in Key West and did the Scarab upholstry work. Boat was using umbrella rigs w/ big bucktails , all artificial bait rigs.
