1982 Sportscraft 250
I'm selling the hull only. I want to go back to a center console. I fish by myself alot and it's just too much to handle. Trailer and motor are not for sale.
$2400 OBO

$2,400 for the hull only? Do you have any more specs on the hull such as deadrise, displacement, beam and any interior cabin photos. Thanks.

I'm keeping the electronics, motor, controls and gauges. Basically leaving just the steering, bilge and washdown pumps, and wiring.
I'll try to put up some interior pics and pics of the transom tuesday.

Nice boat. I had a 27' 1987 with an inboard. It was heavy and slow (with the inboard) but I miss the hardtop and the deck area now that I have a center console. $2400 seems right. You'd have $15-20K in it with a nice motor and trailer and could probably get away for $12K. Not bad for a boat that has a really nice layout for a diving platform; especially if you are on the East coast where the runs aren't so far.

I see a couple 140 4 strokes on that thing. I'm already to far into the stamas though

I have about $10,000 in the boat rigging it with a used motor. The boat has plenty of room, I just want a center console. I've had the boat about a year and I've done a lot of work on it like new bottom paint, new bilge and washdown pumps. It's just not what i want and I don't want to keep spending money to finish rigging it out.
The price is negotiable, so if anyones interested let me know.

that bracket wouldn't do twins would it? How hard would it be to get some twins on there? My neighbor has a set I could probably use or get cheap and that boat looks like it would work out for me perfectly if I could get those twins on it.

I don't think twins will fit. you could build a bracket for 300-400 dollars i you don't mind working with fiberglass.

Better off watching ebay for a twin bracket

Like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TWIN-OUTBOARD-ENGINE-BRACKET_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ26451QQitemZ459 0096251QQrdZ1

Although I have seen them much cheaper

but either way could it handle the weight of twin 99 Yamaha 130s?

yeah, they're just a pain in the ass to build. Buying a bracket would be much easier.

Thanks

Yeah, It's just sitting in the backyard on blocks. If you want it, make me an offer, I've got another boat now and it's just taking up space.

Would a 225 4-stroke Susuki be enough motor for this boat? Thanks

Jerry,
My good friend owned this boat years back and from what I could remember it was a Heavy F'er. I'm thinking it was in the 4200 or 4300 lb range. He had twin 150's suzuki's on it and I still felt it was underpowered. However, we loaded the sh_t out of it too.

The 225 may not be enough in my opinion.

This will probably push it on a single bracket.

a light load and a 2000 250 johnson it would run 45 mph with 17 prop and 41 with 15 prop. I really didn't think it was a heavy boat. I had an aquasport and a mako about the same size and they were much heavier. The 250 was plenty of power.

And no i haven't sold it yet.

A good friend of mine has a 27' hardtop sportscraft just like this one. His has twin 150 yamahas and tops out over 40mph. A single 250 should push this one good.
