I'm near WV (Virginia Tech...we're like 20 minutes from the border) so it would be a hump and I wouldn't know where to go...but if I get a 3 day weekend or some sort of free time come March expect a PM from me, cause I'm headed south.

I've never been spearing in SC, or the Outer Banks for that matter. Might do me well to head down that way next spring.

Hey Mako: you can get striper, sheepshead, spade, tautog, etc. spearing from the beach down in Nags Head. I went down a day or two before Thanksgiving but I didn't bring my kayak and the swim out to the wreck I was headed for was cold and long...long story short I didn't spear a damn thing, but if you're interested in headed down there at some point toward the end of this winter I'll be glad to meet up w/ ya. I'm gettin cabin fever up here and its only December...

I'd like to do that, depending on when you're thinking of going. February or March? I'm pretty jammed for the month of January and the first weekend of February (going back to Jackson, WY), because I'm a big-time skiier on the weekends through about the end of March, but I'd like to do some winter spearing if you're down.

I havn't been in the water for a few weeks though.

Cool! Our season here starts up again sometime in April, and for me goes through sometime in September or October, but you can really spear through sometime in November.
