tried Palos Verdes this morning for nothing. was in the water later then i wanted to be (7am). two guys i know, Matt and Max were already out. i bumped into matt in the kelp beds, he had a 12-15lb white sea bass. he shot it 5 minutes after he got in the water. water was again very milky/murky. i am told that Whites love that type of water, but if you can't see past your spearpoint then how can you see the fish??? there was alot of bait in the water again, but no fish, but even if there was any, you couldn't see em. headed back in after an hour and half. Matt and Max were both on shore. Max ended up with a nice halibut.... around 34-36 inches and estimating about 16-17lbs. Thats the second nice butt in 1 week from there. Last week, a guy named Daniel got a 26lbr. I will try again tommorrow morning, this time i hope to be in the water by dawn.

Cool report. I like hearing about west coast diving. What was the water temp, depth, and how far offshore. Sounds like you just drive up and dive in. That would be cool since we usually have to go a minimum of 14 miles and a max of 50 miles.:)
If you can would like some pics.

sorry, i forgot that stuff. Water temp was around 59... thats what its been for the week. The kelp beds literally start from shore and go out 200/300 yards (around 60 feet on the outside edge). Most of the whites taken have been from 6-15 in the shallows. That must suck, driving that far out to fish. I guess i shouldn't complain when i don't get anything beacuse we have the luxury of beach diving. Just drive up to the spot and get in the water. However, they have been getting some very high numbers on Yellowtails and tuna already on the charter boats...and you need a boat for that and unfortunately the Sask doesn't have one. I hope to have a digital camera soon so i can get some pics on the board. stories just aren't as good without the pics. Keep checking the cali board, i'll have some pics on it soon.
