Went out this morning out of John's Pass. Myself and my wife Carol. Talked to Capt. Dave Zalewski on my way out, and he told me he was killing large spanish mackeral out at Madeira Reef. Since the weatherman ****ed up again and instead of 1 to 2 footers, there were 3's with occaisional 4's,we went and trolled up 6 spanish, between 18 and 31 inches! Very cool! After that I talked my wife into going out further cause I really wanted to kill something! We went out to 60 foot about 15 miles out of the Pass and it was a great dive! Vis was 30 plus horizontal, and I could see the boat from the bottom. Not many fish, but 6 bulldozers, which by the way tasted excellent! Second dive about 3/4's of a mile away, was hog heaven!!! Limited out with the smallest of the hog's at 18 inches, largest at 23 inches which may just get me laid tonight! The seas laid down in the afternoon and on the way in it was a farm pond! Just lettin' ya know! Dan
