Any opinions on wheeled dive bags? I used to scoff at the idea, now it's not so funny. It won't be used for much, if any, airplane travel. Just wondering about brands, price and quality.

Ok, call me a cheap bastard but all I use is a $30 wheeled bag I got a walmart in the luggage section. Just as good if not better than the $100 bags you can get with a dive flag sewn on it.

For air travel, I use a large hardsided Samsonite. Once at the hotel or liveaboard, the gear goes into my Akona semi-mesh bag.
Locally, I use rubbermaid tubs on my own boat, but just the mesh bag when I go on other boats.
There are not too many occations that I would need a wheeled duffle. I have owned them in the past, and blown a few seams, but that was probably the baggage handler's (mangler's?) fault.
Look for good stitching and zippers.

Armor not only donated a lot of product to the Spearboard Open, but donates to several functions a year. The Armor bags are quality products, too. Here is a photo of their Spearboard Open donations on the prize table:

Man, I'm a cheaper bastard than I thought. Here I've been using my old USAF mobility bag all this time; still can't get rid of that mildew smell. Is there a website for these Armor bags?

Hmm...change that to cheap, dumb bastard. Disregard earlier question. Should've paid closer attention to the picture.

Thanks for the replies. I am new to the site and don't know how to do replies, etc. yet.
Have never hunted in water. We went to Mac's a couple weeks ago and I liked the Armor bags I saw there. I agree with keeping the money in a circle. Will have to look there again while everyone is at the sale in Pinellas Park.
Stay wet.

They are the Cats Azz. :D I damn near cant wait to go on trips, just to use my bags! I have honestly been at the baggage claim thinking "my bags are cooler than everybodys". Armor Dave is a great guy too and has really helped out the area tournaments.
Buy an Armor Bag!

Armor makes the best bags period. Their bags have stainless zippers, extra heavy stitching, and great designs. Spend your money with the folks that support us, get an Armor bag.

Amor bags are the shit. I got one of their largest bags they make and the damn thing even comes with its own bag to cover the main bag. Now thats thinking, if you are flying somewhere and the out side bag gets damaged its not that big of a deal, better than ripping the main bag. Go with armor! rick
