Time to go shooting! Myself and a few friends are planning a dive trip off Ponce on Sunday. Anybody else going? Hope the vis is good and seas cooperate.

Seas around Destin may drop to 2 ft by Sunday. In the past 5 days I burned $100 in gas on two trips without getting wet (except from the spray created by 4 ft waves and 15 knot winds).

Running to the left coast on Saturday after unsucessfully attempting to convience his Dubull Trouble and crew to dive out of Ponce on saturday. Reports of 80 fot vis and good number of red snapper, cobia, and go's to serious hunters in 100-140 foot depths to the south east. :(

maybe I can scrounge a crew up if the wife will give a double pass for both days. I know there is a limit of red snapper and go's ready to fill the cooler.........plus the cobia begging for some steel

When will the red snapper season close in the east here in the gulf its already closed????????????

We don't have a season over here, its year round. But we can only bag 2/person instead of 4/person-gulf

I went out Sunday with my daughter,my friend and his two sons. They fished and I brought along my gear since I haven't been shootin' in about 3 weeks or so. Went out to the Tarpon Springs Reef area,dropped down and nearly hit the bottom before I saw it.SHIT VIZ...what's up????? A buddy of mine just went out on Friday and said they shot some nice fish and the viz was good. Granted I was only in 30' of water,but someone I talked to at the dock said they were out 25 miles and they only had about 12/15' viz. Needless to say I just came back up after swimming around the bottom aimlessly and not seeing shit and fished the rest of the day. When I was coming back up I didn't see that I had come up right under our boat and all of a sudden there was this BOAT right over me. Startled me at first but then I realized it was ours so I popped up right at the side of the boat. My daughter was reeling in a fish at the same time and when I popped out of the water she screamed and freaked out ...she thought see pulled up some big ass sea creature.lol The look on her face was priceless!!!:D
