I may be visiting the Brunswick area for a few weeks in March? Any shore-diving opportunities in this area? What's the visibility like?

There's no vis because of the river. I had less than 4 ft ;ast time it looked "doable"

If you're interested and capable I'll IM you some directions to a place where you can shore-dive for sharks teeth. The vis will be 18 inches or less and it's only that good when the current is over 1kt.I've got meg teeth 6 inches from here.As far as spearfishing,it would be a long swim.About 4-5 miles from the jetties for most. There are monster sheeps and flounder at the jetties but that's still about a mile swim.

no shore diving. no way. if you want some great, and i mean great offshore dives then you should contact Diver's Den in St. Mary's at 912-882-7078. St. Mary's is about 25 minutes from brunswick and its where i grew up spearin. If u call, ask for Chris and tell him that Matt Smith sent you. Tell him to put you in touch with Capt. Warren Hupman. He is a great dive boat capitan as well as a very good spearfisherman. He would prob. take you out to this one place about 20 miles out. its in about 70 feet of water and its a bunch of concrete pipes making an artificial reef. there are more fish there than you would know what to do with. 40 lb gag grouper by the dozens, snapper, cobia, lobster, flounder, sheepshead out the ass and PLENTY of barracuda for the shootin. let me know if you decide to go through with it and i might go with you. i hope that this helps.
