Been covered several times.

A chat room would exclude anyone that was not online at that particular time, where the current format allows everyone to see what's been said when they have time to read it. It also allows time for you to review, edit, tweak & post a reply at your liesure.

If you want chat, use AIM, MSN, or YAHOO. :D
