Great weather, Good fishing, and sweet time aboard Awesome Angler 10/26/02

Great day fishing today.. we caught 9 keeper grouper and one nice mango.. we ended up loosing to much time in 30 foot of water which is where I thought I could slam the keepers, but after loosing most of our bait and time I decided to head due west to 40 foot of water.. and as soon as I got there we started catching some nice keepers.. we lost 4 to rocks, so we should have had 13 keepers.. I did not dive today because all I had aboard was rod and reel diggers, so I did not want to take their time up by them watching bubbles... Over all a great day, and the weather was Supper.. here are some pics.. enjoy..Here is fred with first keeper of the day..

Tim and Tom holding up couple of the keepers we caught today.. and yes they are happy.. they came down from Jacksonville, and have not caught a keeper grouper for over 15 years, so they can't get enough of the gulf fishing now!!!!

Here is the kind of weather we had all day.. no waves, just little wrinkles, and a 5 knot breeze or so...

you kicked their ass as usual...blah blah blah:D No really, way to go Capt.Jay, I'm just jealous. You definitely know where to find those som'bitches don't you? Keep those reports comin'... you lucky bastard:D I know, I know...luck doesn't have anything to do with it;)

thanks dlock.. but truth it I had to work my butt off to get what I got.. I did not hit fish until I hit 40 foot of water... then we slammed some nice ones.. but I wasnt diving either, so we would always put some nice ones with stainless steel in the boat!!! have a good day.. Capt. Jay p.s. total rock piles hit fishing was right at 17 or 18 spots before I found some nice fish, so it wasn't a piece of cake...but still always fun, and somedays more of a challenge than others to find fish..
