Atomic answered my request for a fits-all regulator hose with their patented 360 degree ball swivel on the 2nd stage end of the hose.
This hose design comes standard on the $700 and up Atomic regulators.
Now you can have it on your favorite 2nd stage!
Best solution ever for ripped mouthpieces, hose pull, jaw fatigue, and poor hose placement on your reg's first stage.
Turn your head side to side without noticing there's a hose on the 2nd stage!

I ordered a new Flathead from Capt genes shop yesterday and he talked me into it. Twist my arm!

Even if he doesn't, I'm sure he can order it, have it delivered by horse and carriage, and still get it here before you go diving. :D

With the use of a reducing adaptor. You didn't listen and buy into the "bigger hose, better performance " bs did you?

Gene are you telling me that my regs performance is BS? I will pass on the adapter thing. I really like my reg, and did not even know it had the bigger hose for about a year. So no I didn't fall for anything. I was however trying to buy something from you.

NO that's Not what I'm telling you! I have sold and serviced quite a few hundred of the Apeks regulators and I love them.As good as anything you might buy. World depth record holding regulator. I've got several in rental. No compromise quality stuff.
What I was cracking on is the 1/2 hose with the 3/8 id fitting on each end.
You don't really have to have a 1/2 inch hose. I don't believe it has any performance advantage. Just marketing. One batch of 1/2 hoses I looked at had the same inside diameter as the standard hose. Just a thicker, stiffer hose with more drag that costs mo money. :D
I just noticed the grinning emotican I tried to put on my first post didn't type in. Weak fingers..

How is this different from a 360 degree regulator swivel? Will it fit the Mares proton Ice regulator?

Its a ball and socket type of fitting.

Bugged....I bought one for my TX50D from Gene cause I tried the one on his Atomic and fell in love with it. I was worried that I might be giving up some performance not having a 1/2" hose. When I when to remove my old hose and plug the 1/2" port and move it to the 3/8", I notice that the actual hole in the new hose was the exact same size as the one on the end of my 1/2" hose. I felt a lot better and have noticed no differance at all on the amount of air it supplies and I tend to average fairly deep dives. :thumps:
Thanks Gene!
