Anyone have or know were to get info on spearing in Palau? Mainly looking to do blue water.
Eric
I dove Palau last year for 9 days specifically doing bluewater. Dogtooth tuna were shot up to 150-200lb but only one was landed that was 25 lbs (I didn't get a shot on one, although I returned to guam where I was living and shot two small ones the next day...go figure). I shot a spanish mac that was in the 80+ lb range but lost it. We landed macs up to about 30. One napolean wrasse and the reef fishing is insane. Awsome trip...more sharks that you can shake a stick at. We were visited by a 15-18 foot tiger with the girth of a school bus...lots of fish donated to sharks but no real hassles. I have THE contact for spearfishing on Palau. Please pm or call me for more info. I'm setting up a couple of guys to go this spring...they may even be open for another guy if your looking to get out there with a group.

AJ, Yeah I wished I owned the property I live on. But I do take alot of trips because my job allows me to. I don't have kids so that makes me able to just get up and go when I want. Even better yet I wished I had a trust fund. That way I would never be home and instead would always be on the move doing something. Just alot of saving and paying back the old credit cards for me and the wife. We own our house outright and same with the vehicles so we don't have any payments to make. Were just trying to take advantage of every trip we can, that way I don't have to look back and say I wish I had done this or that. I must say I wish that I lived closer to MG though. There is just a sh-t load of fish there. So awesome both times I have been. Worth the hassel of flying all the way up there.
Extremediver, We will be there at the end of june and beginning of july. For about two weeks or so.
