Repeat after me, do not drink and drive. This applies whether it be a boat or car.Or maybe do not drive at night if you don't have a light and don't know where you are.Or since we are on the uncensored spearboard don't drive and screw the hottie you just picked up at the sandbar(For refrence see Heavyweight Contenders posts on the FS forum).

Here's a couple of pics of my boat (on the day I bought it and after a few improvements).

It's an 18 year-old 25' Chriscraft inboard. Old and slow (20 kt max), but I've turned it into a comfortable (for 4) dive boat. Racks for 8 tanks in the stern and horizontal racks for 12 tanks in the bow. I installed a permanent porcelain marine head (for the wife) and a pump to supply a freshwater shower and galley sink (for me). I've replaced all the old teak and added teak to the transom for slinging tanks. A marina worker sold me two seats with posts for $50 which were probably $200 new. I took out the dinette table and bench seats and customized a nice big dry storage area that can still be used as a berth for an overnighter.

But, I found one that I can take with me!! Not alot of horsepower, but I figure if I can time it right I might be able to do some "overnight" trips.:D

Here is my 21 foot proline walk-a-round cuddy boat.. we have 8 tank holders, and can lay 8 more in cabin.. it has full electronics, including auto pilot, gps, loran, color recorder, vhf, dual batteries, feshwater washdown, porta-popper.. Its powered by a Johnson 200 oceanrunner and its a GREAt all around 21 footer for sure.. It has thousands of hours on the hull, and I have had it in the middle grounds before... For 30 miles offshore its great... Here are some pics of it.. Capt. Jay

Hi All.
Here's a pic of the boat I just picked up to assist in my yet unrefined fish slaying adventures.

It's a 24 ft., 1999 Angler with a couple of Yamaha 150 EFI motors. 140 gal. fuel tank keeps the motors fed and me returning to work. (The gas station owner REALLY likes to see me pull in.) A Garmin 225 DGPS gets me where I'm going and the Garmin 160 blue fish finder helps me find the bottom stucture when I get there.

I've only had a chance to take it once so far, but I think I'm going to like it.

Planned upgrades include a smaller console, moved forward. (It's a bit stern heavy with those two motors) A T-top, plenty of tank racks, & all of the fish I can get. :D

Right now it will run, flat out on smooth water, 52 mph. In 2-3 ft seas, somewhere around 30 mph isn't too bad of a ride.

Once my towing truck is done, I'll be heading for the gulf as much as possible. I'll post in the "Private Trips" section when I'm going. Never can have too many spear slingin friends.

Nice boat, speargun. I'm sure you'll have no shortage of volunteers to accompany you on those Gulf trips! :D

she needs a little work, but she's got great range and fuel economy...

really great setup for drift fishing. or drifting for that matter.

Looks like a nice ride Scott. You can strap your tanks to the forward legs. One suggestion though, don't chop the throttle off when you get to your dive spot. Slowing down easy might help with the minimum freeboard on that 'go fast' ride. :D

is that really a flipped upside down table?! thats one kickass ride. i wonder who had the creativity to come up with some thing like that, and it works too. i think thats too cool. here is a pic of my dive boat. not much of a "dive boat", but it gets the job done. i can dive comfortably 2-3 people off of it. ill post a better pic later when i recharge the digital camera....

what i really need is a pic of her when she is going full throtle and throwing up a mean rooster tail.

the boat is a '97 201ProGuide Back Country, with a '98 yami 175 pro v. we bought it from this guy about 6 months ago, and he rarely used it. he used it about 3 times a year, so it is basically new. we changed out the electronics and such. it still needs a new tach gauge. we put on the new trolling motor (minn-kota riptide)

future additons: garmin gps/depthfinder to replace the hummingbird, new tach, new 3 blade custom preformance prop, and some others i cant think of right now.

the boat is mainly used for inshore fishing and bass fishing, but i do my fare share of spearfishing on it. i can fit 6 tanks, anthing over that is pushing it. i usually bring 4 cuz most of the spearfishing we do is in 70feet or less.

i havent maxed it out yet, but with a 4 blade prob 2 guys and a 1/4 gas tank, the gps said that it was doing 60mph. i had to slow down cuz i didnt want to kill myself with the yacht wake that was ahead of me.
