Anybody have the plans/mesurements for those white plastic racks I keep seeing, I would like to build one for myself, (for 4 guns):)

I'm getting ready to build one too,I have a general idea in my head from photos, but some dimensions and a close up pic. would be real nice.

Here's my idea.
Borrow your buddies gun rack. Take it apart and trace all the parts on starboard and make yourself your own rack.

You could easily make your own without a template. You just need some starboard a jigsaw and a router.

I think most of us are inherently lazy and would rather just buy one from SpearOne.

Would Someone Post a close up of one of these racks?

I have a CAD drawing of 1 I am building, I can send it to you if interested, I can not figure out how to post it in the forum, it is in a .dwt,.dwg,or .plt file.

I made mine out of C-Teak, the last one I made out of UHMW has started to crack because it is not UV tolerant.

I would like a look.

You could try to save in documents, then pull it up on Adobe and export to GIF format.

You should route a groove in the back panel ajascent to tne front cut out for the handle. This groove will hold the trigger mech. and stop the gun from pivoting from side to side on the handle. Measure your gun for accurate dimensions, his riffe's are a little beefier than most guns and his sizes may not work that great for other guns.

I originally thought about putting a Dado in ther but I didn't, but I am going to because they do move around side to side, it has never been a problem with the last one, but I might as well get it to fit better now.

The divider could be ripped to a smaller dimension to make it fit other guns, I originally started out with 3 5/8", this rack has 3" divider's and I will rip it town a little smaller, I will let you know what the finall dimension is.

If you don't feel like making one yourself, here are some nice ones.

Wow, first post since June 6!

Welcome back Chip. I was afraid something had happened to you.

Remember to consider all the different types of guns. The pics. shown so far don't consider a rear handle with a reel.
