Ended up taking class with just 2 people, still worked out fine maybe even a little better.
I just wanted to let anyone interested in technical training know that a friend and I took the class and could not have been more pleased with the instruction and advise given by Bert Welsher?sp? from Tampa Adventure Sports. We signed up for the 1st level Trimix next month and look forward to continuing to Full trimix Certification.
Bert was extremly open with the ideas of spearfisherman and some of the different aspects of what we do as opposed to cave divers and other technical divers. Very informative and a great experience, just wanted to let everyone know our experience and Thanks alot Bert :thumps:

If you are interested in tech spearfishing training in the greater Tampa Bay area then Bert Wilcher is THE man, bottom line :thumps: . I believe he is also going to be a sponsor of the SBO this year as well. Check out the website at www.tampaadventuresports.com or call at 813-989-3483.

Bert did a great job. He worked the trainning around spearfishing. We spent several hours working on our gear and asking questions. Bert went above and beyond what he needed to do. Can't wait for the next class. Thanks alot Bert.

A group of us took heliair & helitrox with Bert last year. He is very good. He knows the info inside out and has the real life experience to match. He also thinks outside the text which is real important considering the relatively limited documentation about the effect of deep diving on your body.

Anyone interested in doing this class later this summer, let me know. I had to cancel on this one but I am highly interested in doing it before the summer is over.

Heliox is what the name says ie He and O2 but Helitrox is a He based Nitrox.
Heliox has been used on some very deep dives to get rid of the N2 altogether but later it has been found that alittle N2 gets rid of the HPNS problem.
