Just a reminder to everyone, it is illegal to sell any fish caught on a Recreational Trip in Florida that includes State and Federal waters, I am sure no one would break the law, but we have people coming from out of state, I do not know if it is legal in other states to sell fish caught under recreational bag limits, but in Florida it is illegal.

There is an undercover operation called "Back Door" going on to catch people who sell fish illegaly, there may very well be under cover agents that are at the weigh in, if anyone approaches you in an effort to get you to sell your fish, please do not do it, it is illegal, and please notify one of the weighmasters or line coordinators or any other volunteer that you can find.

I know no one will intentionally break the law, but if someone tries to talk you into selling a fish, please do not do it.

Please check all of your fish one last time before taking them to the scales, John Hererra and I will be assisting people with the order in which they should be on the stringer and helping to make sure all fish are legal, but it is up to the diver to make sure their catch is legal, and complys with all tournament rules.

All fish are to be gutted, iced, and on individual stringers, so that we can qucikly as well as accurately record your catch.

Bret,

When you say individual stringers, does that mean one stringer per shooter or per species / per shooter?

Every diver should have all of their fish on a stringer, gutted and in order to be turned in so that they can be weighed quickly an accurately.

That is 1 stringer per diver with all of their fish on a stringer.

What slows down the line is divers looking through a cooler for their fish, and not having them ready.

Each diver can turn in 9 fish, so if we have 300 shooters, that is potentially 2700 fish being weighed, even with 2 weighmasters, if it is not done quickly and efficeiently, it will be a long day for everyone.

We will be starting a new thread with the procedures about the weigh in, this thread is mainly to remind and warn people, that someone may try to get them to sell a fish, fish can not be sold, it is illegal.

Believe me, if you guys are not prepared, Hudgens will let you know with his signature bullhorn voice. The point is, have it ready so he is calm and happy, and our ears are calm and happy. :D

Operation "Back Door"???? Are those the same guys who bust the "George Micheals" at the park public restrooms?

On the flip side, giving fish away, especially to a good cause (See Dive4Bloods thread), is legal.
