Just got back. We had a great time. Managed to spear afew decent cuberas under the bouys in 70' up to about 15lbs. When offshore we were able to slip in the water and my buddy and I were able to shoot about 50 dorado in about an hour under some floating debris...and it was a blast!!! No big ones...but lots to about 10lbs. Offshore fishing we raised over 20 sails and boated 10. Also we were able to get in the water to freedive with the sailfish and got some great pictures. Spearing was not sensational but very fun and I will be there as soon as I get another invite from my buddy. Here are a couple pics...

Great. Did you get any shots off at a sailfish? Who did you charter? and out of what port? Thanks!

I think i would be in a guatemalan jail if I would have taken a shot at the sailfish, they are super protective of them. I fished out of iztapa (i beileve that was the marina name) and chartered the Congo. The captain and boat were amazing...probably second in guatemala to the legendary Capt. Hook.

Are you sure thats a Guate rule or the boats?

I was told it was a guate law that protects sailfish.

Anyone have a link to Guate rules, I'll post them in rules and translate the impt parts if you do.
