View Full Version : Looking for Spear Buddy (Tidewater Va.)

I am an ex-Navy diver, but prefer to free-dive spearfish. I don't have a Boat, but plenty of gas money! You really need a boat in theis area!
Like I said, I am a very experienced scuba diver, but really prefer free-diving, and spearfishing CBBT and the Tower. Anyone out there? Let me know by PM or responding to this thread.

Jim,
There are several guys in the DC/VA/MD area that spearfish both scuba and freedive. I prefer freedive any more myself and have lots of scuba experience too. If no one closer has communicated with you yet give me a shout and I'll hook you up.

Haven't heard anything yet. It's hard around here, if not impossible without a boat!! I go now and then, but not as much as I like to!!

Warren from up around your way and I have communicated back and forth, but we haven't hooked up yet.

Just let me know. I am available on Wednesday and Sunday.

That'd be cool. My boyfriend and I are on the boat everyweekend so far this summer. I almost went solo last weekend but the vis was so poor I chickened out.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for showing Mako and I the VA Beach hot spots last week end. I had a blast! Hopefuly next time we can get a dive in.

Mako and I also talked adout going to NJ for a dive too. We need to work out the dates; it would be great to link up and dive NJ with you, mabe party a bit too! Mako and I will try and sync schedules and keep you posted.

Sounds Good. I was hoping you guys had a good time, despite not diving.
It was nice meeting up with you guys, and October had a good time as well! Although, I was feeling a little crappy the next day.
I used to spent quite a bit of time in the water in NJ.
