but did not shoot any fish..the water was about 60 and the vis was about 20 feet..there were some sheephead and a few AJs but it was hard to hunt due to 4 mph current and the wreck lying east west..usually it is easy to hunt deep wrecks in current when they are faced south north..anywaays i am glad i got to see it for the first time but hopefully have better conditions next time..

How about a little more about the dive since many are not familiar with the Mulliphen.

It has been a long time since I dove it, I think it is in 165', it is a very nice wreck, the last time I dove it, there was a huge school of very large snook on it.
The sister ship of the Muliphen is the Rankin, and it is in about 135', also a very good wreck, but as with the Muliphen, it can have ripping currents.
When I dove them last, the Muliphen had a lot better vis, and the current wasn't as bad as the Rankin.

I dove it in 70+ vis and hard current. I was on just air and had 10 min of bottom time but that wreck is spectacular the deck is in 140 and the boat sits with a slight list to port, I think. The narcosis is good at that depth! The structure sticks up to the 90 ft range thats 75 ft of relief! The depth in the blowout was 175ft on my guage.

Really?
I like east-west wrecks better in high current because there is more mass to shield yourself from the current. You can hunt east and west inside the wreck and on the north side. When you can get past the current on the ends, hunting the bottom of the south side can work also in strong current. Of course, this assumes the prevailing strong current is north which it is in the east coast of Florida. This is just my opinion based on the experience of hunting wrecks like the Ande (east-west) versus something like the Sea Mist (north-south). I have done both in ripping north currents and would chose the east-west wreck over the north-south wreck. :cowboy:
