Ok I'm the New Kid On the Block. Please no Donnie Wahlburg comments! I heard about this site from the spearfishing forum on 2coolfishing.com. I'm new to the sport and looking to jump in. I'm a long time snorkler and surfer, but just bought my first gun. I'm a handy guy and looking to mod the gun and build my own wood gun over the winter. Nice to be here!

I'm in Lake City...it's about 20 miles north of Corpus on Lake Corpus Christi. I'd dive in the lake it if has more then 2' visibiliity!

Is that like around Lake Mathis / Lake Corpus Christi? Are you close to Chief Charlie?

never met cheif, but yeah. My mom's on the water and I'm about 2 blocks from it. Basically you go throgh mathis...drive towards the state park and turn right just before sunrise beach....county road 10.

Does anyone have some good closeup pictures of a Billers front end so I can see how they wrap the line around the shaft. I'm thinking of making a prototype out of a 2x4 just for practice. Not sure how I want to go with a mid handle gun and just have a harder time putting in a trigger, or go with a rear handle gun where you just drill out a 1" hole and pin the firing mech in.
