Ok so I'm new to the whole speargunning world, but from my hunting exp. I know having the right gun for the right job is important. So I'm planning on making a few guns to do my biddiing. I've got a JBL 38 special right now I use as a "rock gun" I'm putting a Euro muzzle in it similar to what you find at Bluewaterhunter.com and welding a sharkfin on for a line holder rather then having it machined and weakened.
So I'm thinking a 30"ish jetty gun single maybe double banded for mangroves, spades and the occasionally decent size sheepy.
A 40"ish quad band gun which would be my rig gun. Open muzzle with Delrin closed track.
and lastly a 55-60" shoot what ever the F*** I want gun for open water and a back up rig gun.

I'm no expert, but at the rigs I was not getting consistant through penetration of medium size red snapper with a biller 48" and rock point tip. The Biller 60" however is great. If you can afford and maintan all those listed guns go for it. For me it's just 1 gun and I want to be ready when I see one of these!

The 40" gun I was thinking of was similar to the little bam bam made my Whites customs. I hear they work great and have a range of about 15'.

I have read good things about his guns. I may have to take him up on the liberty ship dive offer and see them in action. I wonder if it was him and his fiancee that came up to 787 last sunday. The guy was in the water as I was getting out so I never saw him. Anyway gotta go to work, see ya'll tonight.

I shoot / test Josh's guns all the time, Little bam bam has been an absolut pleasure to shoot being that it is small enough to shoot in the rig, but if something big outside the rig (king, amber, wahoo, whatever) I have no dought that it could handle it. I started shooting a Riffe Island last year for the rigs,we ran into wahoo, and it let me down realy bad, it shot low on shots beyond 12-15 feet.I must have taken 5 shoots at these guys in 30-45 pound range, just to watch my dream dissappear into the abyss. When I came home that night, that gun went on ebay, I have no dought that if I would have had little bam bam I would have a wahoo under my belt now..Dont make the mistake that I did and go buy a gun elsewhere, when we have a gun maker at our door step willing to accomdate us any way possible.
Plus you can always demo one of his guns, that is how sure he is of his product line.

No bug, nothing going on. Although, that would be cool to meet and have a few cold ones somewhere. Where would be a central location for c.c. folks to get together?

Cesar is always willing to be a test dummy. I will never forget the look he gave me when I put Little Bam Bam in his hands for the first time. We were shooting the Waldos shoot and I step out on the deck of the boat and start puting the float line on L.B.B. Cesar says what the heck is that, I said you should try it it shoots good. He said, no I think I'll watch you shoot it first. Three or four shots later Cesar says to me "well you still have all your teeth so I'l try it now". He has been testing guns for me ever since. I get so many e-mails about L.B.B. that people forget that I make Big blue water guns as well. My favorite gun in my line is El Dorado. All of my guns are the same except the lenght of the gun, and the lenght of the side stocks. El Dorado is a 50" gun that shoots six 9/16th bands, 3/8th shaft, and enclosed track. All my models are set up this way. I will also make custom lenghts and set ups, for example if you shoot on scuba we can put a line anchore in the front instead of the standerd line post that we use with our breakaways. My guns go for a very good price, the same set up from other custom builders is $1200 to $1400 If you dont have a price sheet for my guns e-mail me at joshuabryantwhite@yahoo.com
