Just wanted everyone to know that HSD (Hawaii Skin Diver Magazine) will be doing another television show on Kiribati, and there will be a magazine article in the next issue about the recently hyped Christmas Island in Kiribati. They are also looking for 4 -6 divers who are willing to make the trip to Kiribati next January to film for a week on the island.... Looking to shoot large, 100lbs.+ Giant Trevally (ulua) and other large fish including wahoo and yellowfin tuna. If anyone is interested in helping to make this show happen please contact robert at robert@cidiving.com or visit www.christmasislanddiving.com, or www.redseaoceanadventures.com.

We need talents for the show and any help that SB can give us would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert

Im just curious to know why you didnt post this on the HSD site, and is this their normal way of seeking divers for their show, because almost all their shows have the same circle of hawaii divers, like I said just curious.

How 'bout some good ol' boys from the Dirty South? I spent a month on Christmas, mostly surfing, but would love to go back for some hunting...

I have to second Ryan's suggestion...Rednecks in the Kiribatis....I'm in. Headed to the Cooks next week to chase YFT/Dogtooth/Wahoo, and waves.

I'm blue with envy Matt... what islands are you visiting?

I think it's time we share our secret Budweiser and Skoal training tactics with the world. The trip is in January, Kribati is a spendy destination but worth it.

Been out lately?

Rarotonga and Aituki. No, I haven't been out much, just a couple of times since Hatteras. The vis hasn't really been cooperating, and bowhunting season opened ~2 weeks ago, but I'll make up for lost time on vacation. I definitely want to get out whe nI get back, I'll keep you posted. And in this age of political correctness I have decided that I am not a redneck....I am an Appalachian-American.

I can see the trailer now..."The Beverly Hillbillys Dive Kiribati". The sequel could be something like "NC coonasses dive the French Riviera", "Speedo Thongs in Sardinia" or maybe "Jed in the Med" or something like that. LOL Post when you get back, Matt. Hope to see you guys this fall.

not sure I understand either....you have to pay full price to be in a production tv show? Suppose thats cheaper than paying your regular crew's way.
