I'm looking for towing insurance and want to know what your experiences have been with the various vendors. I am on the West Coast of Florida and typically will stay within 40-50 miles of shore. Thanks.

Sea Tow all the way. Boat US will not go past 40 miles (I learned this the hard way when I was a member). Sea Tow has assured me that they will go to the Elbow or Middle Grounds to get me without any additional charges. I broke an engine mount last fall about 35 miles out, and Sea Tow was there in 2 hours. If I wouldn't have had Sea Tow it would have cost me $1050.

Is Sea Tow valid anywhere in Florida I wander? I'll drag my boat everywhere from Crystal River to the keys.
