Key Largo September

me and my buddy will be heading down to Key Largo in September for 8 days of diving. We plan on diving the Grove and some other wrecks but would like to also do some spearfishing. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest any good dive boats for spearing. I just don't know how it will be to actually go in the water without my gun.

Few if any dive boats in Key Largo allow spearfishing since they are all within Pennekamp Park and they mainly dive all the sightseeing stuff. If you go down the road a few miles to Islamorada, you are out of the park and can find a charter that allows spearing. I know the boat Sea Raven at Lookout Lodge allowed spearing a year or so back.
