Headed out in the Moinin'

Well at 6am I'm headed out to Austin and Lake Travis to get a my scuba cert. I'm going to get my open water, nitrox and get my specialty diver cert this weekend. I've got a vw bug loaded down with 3 tanks, all my gear, but unfortunatly no spearguns!

Have a good time. I hope the clarity is OK with the wind this week end. I did my advanced class at Canyon Lake several years ago. Vis was about 25'.Watch the storms. Hopefully you will be done Sunday when the cold front comes in.

vis is about 5' it's pretty bad. chop was pretty bad before 12 noon. Around 3 or so it wasn't too bad. Sun came out and heated it up. Not too bad but vis sucks.

Since I couldn't go offshore today we ran up to San Marcos to do a little of our volunteer work. It is hard to beat the 50' viz. at Aquarena Springs.

yeah yeah yeah :) well I'm now certified as a level 1 open water diver. I'm a class away from my nitrox, and need 7 dives for my specialty.
