How about a trade-a-hunt forum ?

You have the dive buddies in place...how about taking it one step further and have a trade-a-hunt feature ?
Say Ca. kelp beds for La. rigs, So. Atlantic for the Keys, and us inland guys could offer maybe big game or bird hunts for a chance at some unique dive/hunt experiences. I've seen this before on other forums and it really opened up alot of opp. for members.

I think we have such a thing already, at least on an informal basis. For years I've taken out people from Freedivelist from all over the country, and more recently I've taken guys I've met on Spearboard that come from as far away as Florida. We tend to identify with certain individuals after seeing them post, and tend to find others that we know we probably wouldn't want to spend a day on the boat with.

For instance, some divers from CA go to Louisiana and dive, while I would be afraid for my life if I crossed the state line without a disguise. I wouldn't want to dive with people who consider my every post an insult, and they wouldn't want to dive with me, whether or not we had a formal forum.

Anyway, I think its already easy for people with like attitudes to find each other. I'm not sure a formal forum would make much difference, although it wouldn't do any harm either.

You'd be safe, I'm sure of it. Hell, I'm a redneck Okie and I'm not sure I would dive with those crazy-ass Helldivers.
Maybe folks miss your sarcasm and sophisticated, yet dry sense of humor. Or maybe you do really rub folks the wrong way... :)

Heck, just let me know what weekend you want to come down ;) I am ready to shoot some big red snapper and do some dives on that area you guys call the edge.
