Nice catch, is better than nothing at all
wow thats a nice one ! 19 lbs on a cert. scale probably would be the record (if i can remember its 18 and a half or something like that)
ive seen a couple in that size range, but never got close enough for a shot on any bigger than 7 lbs

Erik, thats a nice Cero, really big.
I really like the meat of the cero, to the point that I have
shot my tuna gun to some of them.
Long time ago, I was doing camping on the sandy part
of some rocks near Culebritas island, we were a few spearos,
some small boats, and a buch of chics with small bikinis.
The girls wanted to eat fish, and try as many species as posible.
We took the fish, and cooked them in small portions so they would not
know what they belong to.
They prefered lobster, cero hog fish, and in 4th place it was moray eel,
they were disgusted of the eel when they saw it on the spear, but they
almost killed us when they found out they ate most of the eel and actually
like it.
One of the girls was allergic to lobster, and her face blew up like a melon,
and could barely breath, luckily we noticed early, and moved her fast, Coast guard
send a chopper and some Benadryl, wich help a lot until she got to the hospital.
To this point, I am very grateful to the U.S. Coast Guard guys, they really save lifes.
And when I go spearing to a foreing country I wish their "guarda costa" (C.G.) were not just cops in the water.
nice story.. how come im never invited on these camping trips?? :)
cero is probably my favourite fish to hunt, and eat, the texture and flavor is just perfect.
