I'm looking for some info on spearfishing in the miami/ keys area in october. I will be there for work Oct 27th thru the 31st. I plan on driving down thusday oct 23rd and heading for the keys. I dont have a boat but i am wondering about freediving from shore at the bridges that link the islands. I've been down to the keys many times, especially Key West for drinking and partying. On occasion I've seen people snorkling from shore near the White street pier. I guess what i'm looking for is there any place I can shoot a fish without being on a boat? Of course I understand the fantasy fest is the weekend i will be down there so i probably will be devoting my time to drinking to excess while in key West. How about the miami area? I usually have free time after 5 every day. Anyplace in miami/FT lauderdale accessable from shore?
