We went over to the bahamas this weekend and dove mostly saturday and a bit on sunday.
The temp was warm.
viz was not great 25 feet.
windy and it rained on us also but we still came back with some nice fish.
All fish were taken while freediving with polespears in about 40 feet.

Nice job Spearoo. G told me about the drama you guys had out there, good to see you guys made it back safe and with a cooler full of fish. I broke the band in my pole spear a few weeks ago, can you replace it or should I just get a new one?

Good post,

JC,

I see you found the pics. Man, that trip was a blast. Besides the weather situation at night it was an awesome trip. Can't wait 'till the next one.

thanks,

Id say around 20lbs.

exactly we went to Bimini instead but we are probably going to the keys next week, if the weather permits.
Yeah the trip was a great except for the part were I thought we migth have to come back without that idiot that although he was a nice guy he had no idea how close he came and how much his ADD almost cost him. We told this guy no less than 20 times to make sure to stay with the rest of the divers and he would just ignore everybody and swim the other direction not paying one once of attention to the group, the boat or the direction of drift. He made the ruined alot of the second day but whatever we still got plenty of nice fish
I must say I was very scared of what could have been but thank god everythig turned out right and now we know never to bring this clown again.
yeah that night was the coldest ive ever been but it was well worth it. I

Does any body know what sort of shark that is in the picture??
We kept catching them at night, they ranges from 4-8 ft, and didn't seem to have any distinct markings....

Hey G,

I'm fairly certain it's a sandbar shark.

Its allways fun to be in the bahamas. Its even better when you come home with fish, and a big smile on your face.

Nice

We got a few more, some we ate the first nigth for dinner and we caught some dolphin on the way back, but you are correct, the bottom of the cooler is full of a nice thick layer of ice.
Next time I take my boat down ill post up here to see who all is interested bc. I had a terrible experience this time around with a freind of a freind who I was told could hold his own but in reality this guys almost got himself killed and almost ruined the trip for all aboard.

Ill holler next trip we do, most likely the keay is a few weeks. Maybe even another Bimini trip in the next month, ill keep you posted
