If you guys go to the east (Main Pass) have Troy stop in MP41 and dive the murk. Lots of big Sheepshead, but bring a short gun. Viz is limited.
Also, MP41 is the area that Stan Smith shot his 460+# and two 490+# Sand Tigers in Fifty feet of water.

Did he powerhead the sand tigers or shaft them?

The shaft. It's been a few years but he probalby got him with a JBL 450, a single wrap of cable and poly pro riding rig. A detachable tip also. I was not with him, but according to an informed source he shot the shark and fought him for a while before finally tying him off on the rig. He went back to the boat and grabbed another rig and went down to finish him off. One of his sharks is pictured at www.helldivers.org
There are some nice pics on the site.

LSUBigL,
Remember, you just have to be smarter than the fish. Plus it's cheaper than a psychiatrist.

Stan Smith,
Good point....but notice that nobody else claimed to have shot a shark.
One question: do you have to wear a weight belt when you have 12 pound brass balls?
