You gotta love the Keys were you can get done with work at 4:00, on the water by 5:00, and two nice fish in the cooler by 6:30. Got them both on a half of an eighty. But had to burn another tank to try and retrieve the two shafts that got stuck in the coral. One shaft dropped out of the grouper and landed on the silty bottom, so I could not see it. And the one that killed him, jammed into a tiny hole in the coral through a cave opening. So I had no room to wiggle it and only four inches of the shaft could be grabbed. To make a long story short does Spearone or Ray Odor manufacture shaft pullers? I have heard of a combo puller and shaft straightener, but never seen one. After spending ten minutes to get out the shaft I think I need one.
Forgot to add: It's a 31" black and the vis was 45' at 60 fsw and 15' at 80 fsw.

Remember they look 20% bigger before you shoot them.

Nice job Brian. Gotta say how much I enjoyed you and your wife’s hospitality. Thanks again! I really enjoyed the dives. Man that visibility, wow, don't get that on the west coast. I especially liked hovering 30 ft off the bottom and seeing 20 lb Blacks darting around the rocks and crevices. Can’t wait to come down again.
