i have a rino clasic (52'') it came with 2x 5/8 bands. (black) i was thinking of putting on an third of the same size. putting me at
1 7/8 inches of total ruber. but i wonder becouse the muzzle only fits 2 bands, i would have to have one with just the wishbone in the muzzle then turn it after i load the first to so there is room to fit it. or should i go to a half inch bands. 3 of them would be a total of 1.5 inch of bands. (keep in mind right now i have 1 1/4) so the 3x 1/2'' would only be an increase of 1/4'' at rest.
my out come i want a more power full impact at a longer range. any suggestions?

More power may result in shaft whip and less accuracy. Spear One can best respond.

Kitefisherman is right in that more power could result in shaft whip, but what I would do is put a scale on the bands and pull them back, one at a time, to the loaded position and see how many ft/lbs of energy each band stores. That would give you a better idea of the power than adding up the diameters. Then if I wanted more I would go to stock length 3/4" bands and see how many ft/lbs of energy they store. If accuracy has noticeably suffered after going back in the water and trying this new set up you know it's probably shaft whip. I would drop back in power by replacing the first 3/4" band with one of the old 5/8ths and if that works I'd stick with it. Two 3/4" bands aren't going to give you as much power, obviously, as three 5/8ths.
You might also try three 9/16ths in the stock length. This is the set up I'm currently using on my Riffe Competitors #2S and #3XS. The Metal Tech #1 in my night gun configuration is wearing two 9/16ths bands and for day use by #1 (11 yr. old son) has four 1/2". The three 9/16ths will give you more power than your current two 5/8ths.
Some people increase the power of their bands by shortening them, but I, personally, shy away from this method.
Kitefisherman is also right in that Spear One would probably know best about this on a Rhino.:)

Besides shaft whip you most likely will have problems with stressing the trigger, as said before ask Kevin he would know.

I seriously doubt you are going to get three bands thru two holes

I don't think he has a Commercial gun (2 holes), he probably has a Classic two piece gun. You can squeeze 3 bands in there, but I don't recommend it. Develop better stalking techniques. I used to shoot over 25,000lbs of fish a year using only one band. More power is seldom the cure for inexperience.

i am new to spearo so it goes with out saying that i do need more time hunting and stalking under water. but i am looking for more power only ater i shot a snaper in the gill plate and it only went in half way befor it was shook out. i hate feeding fish my dinner :( . you are correct in saying that i have 'classic' not comercial muzzle. i am thinking of going to amber and about an inch shorter to see how that does. it was also recomended to me to get the commercial muzzle, can that be added on after market or is that something i have to look at on my next gun???

Good stalking is always going to be the key to not having to add power. The only reason to add power would be for distance and thats where stalking comes in. On scuba, you would mostly be shooting bottom fish and some AJs in midwater. Longer shots are not really necessary with Hogs and most grouper, cobia etc. the llonger shots would be most likely needed for blue water fish and even then, the reason for the extra power would be due to the size of the fish and flat out power instead of extremely long shots.
