top menu bar - click on forecast, united states, then choose your area. It's free and has been prett accurate down here. I have the San Diego section saved in my favorites.

PS NEVER overlook the power of the actual surfcheck, ie going to the beach and seeing for yourself. I have had a few days that flew under the CDIP radar that were fun chest to head high with very few people out......

For a map type visual of current offshore and local (in color) wave heights, I use: http://cdip.ucsd.edu/recent/model_images/socal_now.png For a 5 day text forecast showing conditions from Cen Cal down to LA, I use http://metaora.ucsd.edu/climate/calif_marine_fcst.southern
