top menu bar - click on forecast, united states, then choose your area. It's free and has been prett accurate down here. I have the San Diego section saved in my favorites.

http://www.stormsurf.com <-- surf around this site there are some really cool links about how reports are generated and how to generate your own surf report.... not that you need to, but it will give you a better understanding of how to interpret the data....

PS NEVER overlook the power of the actual surfcheck, ie going to the beach and seeing for yourself. I have had a few days that flew under the CDIP radar that were fun chest to head high with very few people out......

For a map type visual of current offshore and local (in color) wave heights, I use: http://cdip.ucsd.edu/recent/model_images/socal_now.png For a 5 day text forecast showing conditions from Cen Cal down to LA, I use http://metaora.ucsd.edu/climate/calif_marine_fcst.southern
