WAY off topic, but I'm busting at the seams, and just have to brag about my Pop Warner team. We're now 9-1, after a MAJOR DOG FIGHT last night in Dunnellon, beating the Santa Fe Raiders 36-28, in the first round of the Southeast Divisional Playoffs. At first, it looked like one of those nights...our first snap (shotgun position) went over the head of the QB:eek: He tried to pick up the ball, but accidently kicked it 10 yds. away. A Raider scooped it and scored. At one point, we were down 28-16, with our #1 running back in the ambulance, after getting knocked silly twice, by helment to helment contact. (supposed to be a major penality) Raiders were playing real dirty. Our #2 rb is #1's brother, who was playing with a real bad knee and attitude. He scored twice while his brother was in the meat wagon. The first point after touchdown was no good. 28-22 Our #1 rb has been out of the meat wagon a coupla minutes, before the 2nd TD, and feeling "a little better". He is the ball holder on point after TD kicks, wich are worth 2 pts in PW fb. He holds, and PAT is good! 30-28 We kickoff, and defence is 4 and out. With 1:40 left rb #1 busts a back breaking 50 yd TD! (14 yrs. old and runs a 4.7- 40!) 36-28 We kickoff, and they return it deep.:eek: They drove another 30 yds., but our defense held. The clock ran out with them on our 9 yd. line. HELL-A-FIDE ****IN' FOOTBALL GAME!!! It doesn't get any better! I couldn't be any prouder!
