A heart felt Special thanks to the Sea Scat Team for their assistance during the Southern Derby.

Capt. Bend Pitta
Ceil Labrie
Brian McGarry (Action Aquatics)
Dan Kittell
Ray McFadden

These guys provided the ultimate favor for any diver just out of range of their dive boat. During my dive, these guys were out there in the same area to take a winning fish and broke away to help me out. After taking a long look at a ledge and getting a nice AJ, I came up just out of site of the V34. I was only on the surface for 3-4 minutes and I know these guys would have found me in another minute or two.

Ben and Team Sea Scat came over to offer assistance. My air was under 200psi and the dive alert was not at its max blast level. Team Sea Scat picked me up and delivered me back to the mother ship.

This selfless act just goes to show that as a user group, we are a brotherhood and one good deed today will someday be returned 3 fold.

Sea Scat hits the Clearwater/ Tarpon area and if anyone out there comes across him, be sure to tip your hat and give a way or assistance if needed.

Good People, I appreciate your help and assistance.

Dan Addison

It’s not so much that he was out of range, we were just too busy preparing for our dive and slamming our triple deuces of m f’in malt lickety juice to notice him. (I hear it helps with deco)

I had plenty of air with my pony, but the problem is that my main tank was low and didn't have the PSI for the max blast from the dive alert. I was unrolling my sausage as the Friendly folks on the Sea Scat motored up for assistance.

I'm working on surfacing w/o draining my main tank. I usually have 25-30 psi when I'm back on the boat. I mean this is good air (34%) and I hate to waste good air. If you don't have a redundant air supply you better break the surface with 300-500 psi or what you learned from your instructor.

You are on your own out there most of the time. If you can't count on yourself, then you may as well stay home.

If you are looking for a more detailed explanation, I'm sure Genesis has taken the morning to break this down and post a reply on the Florida Sportsman Forum. If he has, please be sure to let him know your thoughts.

That should make the Gman happy!

Speaking of the Gman, he's been awfully quiet as of late.

Damn, that's a nice BC.

You may be able to get a good price for it on Ebay, if you don't plan on keeping it.
