I am refurbishing an old Riffe gun I had and I am planning to put stabilizers on the front to both reduce muzzle rise and counteract the weight of the reel. Has anyone tried this? I've gotten hooked on the amazing accuracy of rail guns lately and I hope to improve the accuracy of my Riffe.

what will reduce the recoil more than anything is the side stocks but if you ask the man himself, jay riffe, he will tell you that the front stabilizers work great on any of his longer guns. I find that if you just get used to the guns recoil and can offset it with your hand on the butt of the gun, you will be fine unless you are using the island or baja. I use a no ka oi and a hawaiian and man they shoot straight without stabilizers although jay tells me that i should put stabilizers on the no ka oi and it will make a difference . my best advice, give them a call and jay or julie can tell you as i am sure they have tested it on all their guns
