I was called into the office this afternoon(Im still here, 23:50) so I couldnt make it to the OCHunters meeting. You all probably had a good time, drank some beers, watched some cool surf vids. And I got to talk on the phone all night.

The video was awesome, the slide show was good but you couldn't hear the speaker explain the images, the new book Sun, Sand, and Surf was great, and it was a fairly good turn out. Not as big as meeting #1, but it was more of the "Dedicated to making this a reality" group rather than those that were just there for the raffle prizes.

No worries Kyle. We had a good time. I don't think the vis is on the way. Laguna closed the beaches for diving so our club dive for Sat 23 is off. Time to go surf or it up the frontsides of the islands. I don't know if I was trippin this morning but I swear i saw a small yellow jump infront of me while paddling back out at lower trestles in San Clemente. So I think you were dead on with your bird indicators. Might be, as much as I hate to say it, some good rod and reel fishing of the local area right now. Hang in there with work and I can't wait to get you out there on the boat in Sept.

Steve, thanks for calling to notify me (and I assume other members) of the cancelled dive. That was mighty considerate and much appreciated. Bummer, but I kinda expected it given how crummy things were at Agate last week. I enjoyed last Thursday's meeting (even though I'm not a surfer), although something has to be done about the noise. I like the room and the option to order food and frinks, but the noise is really a problem, esp. when they have a band playing next door. Hope everything goes well.
