I guess I will start a storm. This is from larsonblog.com A talk show host here in San Diego. He shreds the gnar...

...is George W. Bush. Many Democrats in DC have greater disdain for Bush than they do for the terrorists. They feel compassion for Saddam ("Oh, why couldn't he have been hanged without taunts?")And they would prefer it if America would lose the war in Iraq... so they can be "right". Now the left is horrified that the President would dare bring Syria and Iran into the discussion, putting the countries on notice that we're not going to tolerate their involvement with the insurgency. People like Keith Olberman are shocked that the President would suggest complicity. Well, what Bush discussed is reality. It's also something several Democrat "leaders" want to ignore. They'd rather play on the emotions of people, who are understandibly fatigued by the situation. It's partly Bush's fault that he hasn't regularly explained the war effort as clearly as he did tonight. He's also allowed the opposition to make him appear more weak than he already is on many issues. Here's the text of his speech to the nation: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/01/20070110-7.html
On NBC's Brian Williams and MSNBC's Chris Matthews thought it was important to note that GWB was speaking from the White House library--- where Jimmy Carter gave his first fireside chat. Egad. They're on the same talking points in the lib effort to canonize Carter? Again, it proves the point: They're so committed to taking down Bush, to claiming Iraq is Vietnam, to pretending the War on Terror is a figment of Bush's imagination that they appear willing to empower the bad guys with new resolve. And Dems allow Turban Durbin to do the "response" to Bush. These people are dangerous for America. God help us.

So why did not Bush send in more troops earlier? Like last year, maybe
because he knows the war is not popular and it would have hurt the
elections even more. It probably would have but he gambled on the
Republicans winning again and they did not. Now he wants to send more
troops and clean things up. Doesn't he realize American's need to know we
are winning something over there. Where's Osama? He's a bigger catch
than Sadam. He diverted attention to Iraq vice Afghanistan where the
original problem started.

Oh yes one of the 25% still playing follow the leader. Just in case you missed it, there are at least eight Republicans who are on record speaking out against GW's suicidal plan. There are in fact hard core 'right wingers' on talk radio who who are strongly speaking out against Bush and his plan (Jay Severin in Boston comes to mind). Retired Generals are speaking out against his policies. Liberals are not in support of terrorists as you suggest (I personally resent that) they are against the way the effort has been fought. Bush is not only a moron, I believe he is insane. He has done NOTHING to make us safer. Everything he has done has made us weaker and more in danger. The liberal media is no longer letting him get away with it, and neither should we.

Your post does make me wonder one thing.... When we were assisting Osama Bin Laden in his insurgency war against Russia, were we any different than Iran is now?? Would we have accepted other countries labeling us part of an axis of evil for that assistance?
It sure is funny when the shoe is on the other foot how differently we see things....
Lets see, we have done it in Korea, El Salvador, Afghanastan, Bosnia, and many other countries... We call it "Assistance"... I wonder what the other side calls it when we do that....
