hey folks,

i got the south jack hole video up it came out really well. if you've never dove a spring before this will give you a taste of what to expect. this is one of my favorite sight seeing dives on this side that isn't too far offshore. and there are an occasional nice jack or yellowtail on this spot.

Look, the fishing hurts thing is funny, but I would prefer it NOT be the logo or represent spearboard, for a couple of reasons. I think spearfishermen are good sportsmen, like most deer hunters. I think people could get the wrong idea about a logo or shirt like that. Amongst us, on the board, we can laugh at it, and give PETA a hard time, but others might use it as ammo against us.

I'm all for having a logo and shirt that is "raw" and shows a speared fish. Kevin's SS logo is a good example of how that can be accomplished.

That's my .02.

yeah i won't get a shirt printed up with spearboard.com on it if you have any problems with it scott. i totally understand your concern. i'm really too busy (or lazy one of the two) to actually go to the screen shop and see what they can do. i proly just get one of those print them on yer home puter and iron them on deals and see if it works with my web page addy on it. fishkilla.com already has the feel of a anti-peta site.

about shooting video i'm up for it anytime that i have free. the 20th might be a problem due to work and school but i'll see what i can do. weekends are always open for me. i really appreciate the offer. we'll get out there soon if not next weds

How deep is the edge, and how deep is her hole?

I DOVE IT ONCE AS I RECALL IT WAS 110 FSW TO THE OPENING AT THE TOP . SOME TECH GUYS SAID IT GOS TO LIKE 400FSW. IT HAS A HOUR GLASS SHAPE WITH A MOUND AT THE BOTTOM. SOUNDS LIKE WARDS SINK BUT A WHOLE LOT DEEPER.

i know this hole is alot deeper than 400ft we have one of thos fancy smasny color recorders that doesn't give us a bottom depth when we get over the top of it. also one night out of curiousity while we were out there snapper fishing we emptied an entire 6# penn senater into it and it didn't hit bottom.

33 miles west of longboat pass... just down in bradenton
