awesome article...thanks again...i saved your other article on tony, its awesome to read that and picture myself in 40+ years still freediving, hopefully that deep...

my friend had the chance to dive with pipin in the islands, they said he good go down 80+ for like 10 minutes...they made some video i think...he shot a nice cubera, and missed a 80 pound monster...but he is one of the 7th wonders...

Thanks for the link RJ. It was an interesting read. I didn't know Pipin got his start as a commercial spearfisher.

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I was reluctant to post it at first, because of all the controversy lately with his association and Audrey's death.

Yes, he did start out as a spearfisherman. As a youth in Cuba, it's one of the few ways you can feed yourself and your family without relying on the black market. Anyhow, he has a few videos available dedicated strictly to hunting. He usually uses pneumatics, but I heard he is better at freediving than he is at spearfishing.

Mushkee, I think he actually filmed his videos in the islands while hunting with a gun....I'm not sure about this, but its what I've heard. I don't have to tell you about the regs down there.

most cubans bring guns to the islands...and pipin did...we got video of him...he has some bas ass equipment...

Good article RJ, I didn't know that there was alot of controversy around Audrey's death. Shame if there is, dangerous sport and I think she knew the risks she was taking.
