Willie Mahin (thecrab87) is 36 today. Happy birthday Willie!
I'm looking forward to your trip here this summer when you can show us how local diving should be done again. I kidda doubt I'll be able to cock a gun by then, but at least I can take photos and document the carnage.
For you guys who weren't around last summer, here is one day's work for him while he figured out the California diving. The rest of us were humiliated.:)
On his trip with me the previous summer he got two nice white sea bass and a yellowtail.
If he does it again, I think the DFG is going to outlaw him with some sort of "Hawaiian Hit Man" special regulation.

We were just talking about you flying to Houston. Everyone wants a Happy Hour March 1. So it will be March 1, at Woodrow's on Chimney Rock Houston, TX. We'll send a massive email next Saturday. :)

Willie,
Happy birthday. Hope you were not too tired for your birthday dinner after taking me on a real Hawaiian adventure yesterday.
Thanks again,
How was your trip Sonny? Did you get to dive at all? What kind of Hawaiian adventure did you go on?
Shit, almost forgot why I even clicked on this thread...Happy Birthday Braddah Willie. Hope you got some good gifts and good grindz. Aloha

Hey!
Thanks everyone (and particularly Bill)! I really appreciate it.
SonnyB and I went out on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was a bit rough (even by my standards). We got a few fish though and got wet, so it was all good. I just wish that I had been able to have been a better host. I had to attend a gymnastics meet on Sunday all day, my daughter was home sick all day on Monday, and Tuesday I could not get out of work. Dangit. Next time, Tino. Come back in my favorite diving month for Hawaii: September. :D
Again, thanks everyone for the happy birthday wishes!

Bill knows perfectly well that I just got lucky... lol :-) Just trying to make the most of my time there is all!
Looking at those pictures makes me hungry. All of those fish were just absolutely delicious.

Willie,
Talk about delicious,
Cooked all three kinds of fish for my parents on my last night of the trip (menpachi, goat, and the bigger eye small scale soldier fish, sorry forgot the name) and all were fantastic. My parents, who are not big on fish, were blown away at how great all three tasted. Needless to say they were very impressed, so I could not thank you enough.
No worries on Monday or Tuesday spent those two days kayaking and snorkeling with the girlfriend. As well as a new favorite, scooter freediving. Too fun, cant wait to show you some video.
Thanks again my new friend and I hope you had a great birthday.
Please call me when you and your family are in California.
Tino

Well, I was beginning to worry that Willie had a real life, so its good to see him finally respond.
That piece of halibut that you left for me was delicious too. Its just too bad that I have to have guys come clear from Hawaii to get me some fish. :)
