What is a good slip tip for use with a pole spear. I would only use this setup for larger fish (mainly grouper) on my Puig pole spear. Also any opinions on having it setup to 'breakaway' from the pole spear or leave it attached to the float line? If anyone has some pictures of similar setups I would appreciate it.

by far, the best tip is the sea stinger tip!! if you are using it on large fish, get the heavier one. they are the easiest to get fish off due to the quick detachable tip system.

thats the sea stinger i was talking about. they are usually pretty pricey but well worth the money. florida freedivers sells them. they come in large diameter and small diameter. the small ones are good for hogs and snappers. you will need the large for groupers.
