Does anyone know what happened to Paradise scuba on san jose blvd. in jacksonville. I went there to get my tanks filled yesterday and they are closed. I had a nitrox air card there with fills left on it . I was just there last week and they didn't say anything about closing.

Ya might check with 100-days-a-year. He may know. He doesn't post here much. He might be found over on www.scubasource.com/ .Good luck.

Hey LH,
As far as I know paradise is closed. I talked with Mike at Meridian Dive yesterday and he said the other investors closed the place down as soon as Bob White (who I thought was the owner) left on a trip.

If your looking for a place to get fills try Advanced Diver Traning its on Phillips a few miles north of 95.

What really burns my ass is I had paid for the next nitrox class at Paradise. So much for $100.

you're not the only one that got burned! I'll try that divers elite traing on phillips hwy.
I like mikes fills but sally's air cards are a little pricey, paradise was alot cheaper but maybe thats why they went out of buisness.

They went the way of all Bobs buisness victims.....Broke.I deal strictly with Atlantic Pro Dive unless they can't or won't carry something.Divers Supply is useless for any info but thier friendly. The guys at APD all spearfish that gives them a big advantage.Sorry about the loss ,try small claims court .

Is APD out at the beach? I have been getting fills and misc. equip.from Meridian. The bald young guy Mike has been a big help to a new shooter like me.

I did meet Wally owner of Elite Diver Traning at a fund raiser last week. So im sure I will be stoping in at his shop some time this week.

No offence to Wally and family but I think they've been diving less that a coupla years.APD is on 3rd st and 22nd S. or so .Steve is a previous World and State champ and has a room full of trophies.Look at the pics on the wall as you come in the shop there are some seriously big fish and bugs here.
