Draft (depth): 37"
Dry Weight: 19,500

How fast that this boat go (cruise) and will it burn gas like there is no tomorrow? What fuel "economy" can I expect?

Tnx

A prop shop could tell you if you know the transmission gear ratio and the prop size.
But here's my best guess on the speed and fuel burn.
Speed: not enough
fuel burn: to much
Maybe get .75 miles per gallon at 20 mph. Maybe less. :(

I'd guess similar. I don't know what style boat it is, but we ran a 33' (37' LOA) sportfisher w/ twin gassers and it wouldn't break 22 w/ the wind at it's back and you could just see the fuel tanks emptying. That's why I didn't buy it. It was in Florida and I was gonna have to run it up the ICW or have it hauled over land up to NC for the summer and that was posing a financial issue for me. That got me to thinking...if I can't afford to get the boat home, how will I afford to use it?

Hence my 23' trailer boat :)

I would stay away from this one unless you can afford a ton of gas. There are many variables that would determine how the boat will perform that you have not provided. However, boats that size with gas engines are usually real dogs when it comes to speed, performance, and fuel consumption. Most boats that size require 2-375hp turbo diesels to even begin performing like a real boat. They put gas engines in those boats to make them more affordable when they are new. Many of these boats end up getting converted to diesel down the road.

The word "Economy" does not belong in the description.

I think you would be lucky to get .5 miles to the gallon and it may well end up being less than that.

I'd be shocked if that boat got .5 miles per gallon especially with a diver load.

Max Speed: 26.1 kts
Fuel: 44 US Gall/Hr (typical)
CRUISING PERFORMANCE
Cruising Power: 308 SAE hp ( 229.6 kW) @ 4000 RPM
Cruising Speed: 17.0 kts
Fuel: 18 US Gall/Hr (typical)
RECOMMENDED PROPELLER
Diameter: 17.7 in. Pitch: 14.9 in.
Blades: 3 Cupped: No

Above numbers if it were a diesel. On gas, twice the fuel burn, so 0.5 is about right.

My boat is 35', ~23k lbs, 2 x 350 diesel, and I get 0.9 nmpg or so.

Figure about 30 gph at cruise with a clean bottom, lots more at WOT. That is plus or minus depending on the hull.

I had a 33' Bertram SF with 330 gas motors, 22K, very deep vee, that was our performance.

when you firsposted thought it was a tiara 36 mine has the same wgt and size
in desil i get 1m/gal anywhere from 18-24knts
in gas my boat couldn't do more that 18knts and 0.5m/gal would be about right
gas engines just don't have the torque for that wgt range

Our new vessel is very similar in shape.

37' Long x 13' beam Topaz Express
375 hp 3208 CAT deisels

Cruise is 24 kts @ 2350 rpm @ 28 gal/hr total burn.

Wouldn't want to run gas in a boat this size.

I'd think REAL hard before I bought a Carver. The last one I worked on with the v-drives had plywood stringers.
