The weather is gettin nice and it sounds like a good time for some gumbo this Saturday. It seems those nice boys from Athens will bring the Tiger bait, I got the rice goin already, who wants some good ole Bulldog Gumbo?

How 'bout a good ole gumbo recipe from you Louisiana boys?

Would like to help but most of us are usually too lit by the time it's ready to eat to remember how we made it. Usually comes out good though.

There's a million different varieties but the key is a good rue (browning flower in oil with onion, etc.)

I made rabbit and squirrel gumbo last year that I would've licked by own butt the next day for a second taste if I could've...

Man, I tell ya, I just love me some gumbo. The bulldog gumbo was good (both the Georgia and Mississippi varieties). The laws say that alligator season is closed but after last weekend it appears that Gator season is still going strong. Might just have to whip up a batch of some Gator gumbo this Sat. As always, I got the rice, who is bringing the tater salad?
