We call them "bend-o-matics" and still don't know how to read them but as long as you keep them out of the red you're fine... They are almost as long as your hand, chrome with a dial meter.

HEY, never been clinically bent yet...

Are you actually going to dive with it?

That's all I use. Some of my buddies use them as well as real computers and the sos meter is more conservative and doesn't crap out past 200ft. If I dived open water I'd go with a computer but we "bounce dive" the rigs and our dives don't last that long and we have structure to judge our acsent rate, etc. Our deep dives usually only last a few minutes.

J Ko, now that you mention it, I am missing one, may have to check under the matress..

I used to do a shit load of deep deco diving in new york; carried a dacor "micro mini brain" - very conservative cpmputer and a sherwood source, as well as a deco meter on many dives; some of which required deco stops as deep as thirty feet. The meter gave me very similar deco profiles as to the micro; If I used it exclusivly it would never have bent me; although I might have spent some extra time clearing deco. More than 30 years old, no battery changes, essentially foolproof, totally reliable.. Id use one today if I hadnt lost it

These things sound pretty cool. Anyone got a picture?
