I have been through there two time already but this is the first time I have brought my Fins and a mask. I've got about a day and a half there on the way back from Afghanistan. I wish I could bring some spear gear but they have some rediculously strict rules there. If anyone has been here and dove it. Please tell me some good spots to dive.

I'll ask Cam for you. He was on a pre-po ship there for awhile. While he was there, he caught a bunch of huge fish using a technique that he and I perfected when spearing got outlawed in the Cayman Is. It is really swim-fishing with a handline. Get a spool of line, bait, sinkers and hooks. Swim around until you find a nice coral trout and lower it on down. You can rent boat pretty cheap from the Navy or get a dude to take you out. I'll email Cam- who is back at sea- to get some info for you.
I was in Kandahar, Bagram and Kabul a long time ago.

Alright thanks alot. That fishing technique sounds pretty interesting that your talking about. I might give that a try. You got any other pointers for that?

Yes Rob. In hawaii a bud of mine used a regular fishing pole but under water. Just float and dangle if the fish will let ya. Take some mean pics. Prayot got a monster of all Parrot fish. Thing has to be at least 15lbs if not more. Ill show you pics when you get back.

Skishing, huh? Dangit. When am I going to get credit for my inventions. The internet, the question mark- everything just gets ripped off before I can patent it.

Yes I do. There were parrots out there as big as us. This spot is still yet to be fully explored and the promising looking spots are a hike. Shallow reef to quick drops... Can only be on side of the island...

Well the trip to Diego ended up being pretty badass. I ended up hand lining several snapper, and caught this wahoo trolling. The fish population there was incredible. I saw several 100lb plus Napoleon Wrasse, 80lb plus grouper, and Schools of hundreds of large snapper anywhere from 5lb to 40lb. The manta rays where pretty curious as well, but they didnt want you to touch them. All in all a pretty good stop coming back from the desert.

Mean ROb! Did you sashimi? Never had wahoo sashimi.
Dude! So can you use a pole spear there? What about the sharks? No underwater pics eh?
