Does anyone know of a good site or have any info on how to find some more tournaments in the midstate region around ok, missouri, texas, arkansas, kansas. If you have any please pass it along. thank you

There was talk about a tournament at San Marcos, but I haven't heard any more about that. Now if you want to hit the coast, I think there are 2 or 3 in Texas each year, plus Helldivers in New Orleans.

After July 15, the opening of flathead catfish season on Tenkiller, there has been a spearfishing, compass, poker, treasure hunt. . . contest at Tenkiller. One dive shop ran the tournament for close to 40 years, last year, a different dive shop ran the contest. It's been a good meeting place for former national champion divers as well as for beginners.

I went to that tournament last year, it was a lot of fun! there are s**t loads of big bass in there, but all you can shoot are carp, drum, buffalo, and catfish.

I heard a rumor that they would not be spearing this year. I would call Blue Divers and make sure before planning a trip there...

Bluewater did not have the spearfishing tournament on their web page.

I just looked on their website and it is still on their calender. So maybe it's still a go, it's usually a really fun dive!
