Launched last night from Dana around 9pm with 2 other buddies. There were 2 U.S. Customs boats in the harbor just putting around. These customs boats were incredible. Each one was about 40' long with 4-225 merc outboards. Awsome boats.
Anywhoo, we made out way up to Heisler, and dropped down to 35'. Visability was 1' over the sandy spots and 5-6 over the reef. Temp was 60 on surface and 58 at 35'. Currents were ripping last night. It was complete washing machine, but there was no wind.
We basically had to dive by brail, and it was very easy to loose your dive buddy. We ended up seeing a few bugs, of course shorts, and one big nurse shark. My light died half way through the dive, no problem I just need new batteries. My bulb actually burnt out, and a new bulb is 80$. Fook that. Can anyone get a good deal on a UK Light Cannon 100 H.I.D. Bulb?
Freedivers might have a problem Friday night because the vis is so thick.
