i headed out of King Harbor with a very cool guy by the name of Roger, he posts on Allcoast sportfishing under the private boaters board as "Scubapro5" ... he has sweet boat all set up for fishing (and would work well for diving). Our intentions were to head to San Clemente but that trip was cut short as we hit the west end of Catalina and the wind was at 15 knots and the boat was rocking hard , this was at 2am. We anchored and roger proceeded to catch squid for bait (yellowtail candy). I went to sleep at 4 am and woke up at around 615 to a baitclicker alarm going off in high gear. Roger landed a nice 22+lb yellowtail. i was hoping to get in the water to do some spearfishing but by then i was really seasick (very odd, because i don't get sick) and the water was still really murky so i said screw and spent the rest of my morning chumming the water (sorry if i got any on the side of your boat). We called it an early day and headed back. I would really like to know when the friggin water is going to clear up..... and hopefully before all the damn fish are gone.
Thanks again Roger.
